“Hey, I just ordered a new Samsung Blu-ray drive and some Blu-rays like Life of Pie, The Hobbit, etc., but it’s too hard to keep them clear…my kids always mess up all my collections. Is there anyway I can keep the digital copy and share them with my family on portable devices? I’m also going to preorder a Galaxy Tab 3 soon. Thx!”

Top 5 Best DRM Removal Programs Review for Android, Windows 8 Tablets/Phones

Are you looking for DRM Removal software? This article covers the best DRM Removal programs to use for legally removing DRM protection from your video, music, TV show files with high quality and keep subtitles. The Best DRM Removal review will help you find the best DRM video removal tool to free your DRM protected video and TV show files.

Best DRM Removal Programs Review

What's DRM File?

Digital rights management (DRM) is a class of controversial technologies that are used by hardware manufacturers, publishers, copyright holders, and individuals with the intent to control the use of digital content and devices after sale.

The use of digital rights management is not universally accepted. Some content providers claim that DRM is necessary to fight copyright infringement online and that it can help the copyright holder maintain artistic control or ensure continued revenue streams. Proponents argue that digital locks should be considered necessary to prevent "intellectual property" from being copied freely, just as physical locks are needed to prevent personal property from being stolen. Those opposed to DRM contend there is no evidence that DRM helps prevent copyright infringement, arguing instead that it serves only to inconvenience legitimate customers, and that DRM helps big business stifle innovation and competition. Furthermore, works can become permanently inaccessible if the DRM scheme changes or if the service is discontinued.

DRM File Main Types:

1. iTunes Video File

According to Apple, iTunes supports any video format that works with QuickTime and files purchased or downloaded from iTunes store. That means if your video files have a .mov, .m4v, or .mp4 file extension, generally you can play them in iTunes. However, there are also limitations on video codecs, sample rate, etc. So if your .mov, .m4v or .mp4 files are rejected by iTunes, that may be because of a codec problem. What's more, if you want to transfer these protected iTunes videos and movies to non-iPod player like Archos, Android tablets/phone, Windows 8 tablets/phones, BlackBerry Z10, Zune, PSP, etc., you need to legally remove DRM protection with a professional DRM Remover and record the videos to your devices supported formats.

2. Blu-ray/DVD Digital Copy

A Digital Copy is a commercially distributed computer file containing a media product such as a film or music album. The term contrasts this computer file with the physical copy (typically a DVD or Blu-ray Disc) with which the Digital Copy is usually offered as part of a bundle. It allows the disc's purchaser to create a single copy of the movie on a computer, and to view it on that computer's display or an external display (e.g. television) connected to that computer.

Digital Copy is a special product, bundled with your recent DVD or Blu-ray™ purchase, which provides you with a digital version of the movie. You may transfer your "Digital Copy" to your Mac®, PC and iTunes®-compatible devices (such as the iPod® touch, iPhone® and iPad™) or redeem your Digital Copy with one streaming on-demand movie service (such as VUDU or Amazon).

You can download more DRM videos from Windows Media Center, Amazon Videos, BBC iPlayer, Zune Marketplace, CinemaNow, Blockbuster, Napster, Pandora, Spiralfrog, Bearshare, iMesh, iMeeM and more.

Introduction:

If you have downloaded DRM-protected videos, movies or music, then you have probably discovered how annoyingly restrictive DRM technology is. Not only do you have the problem of working out what portable media players it will work on, but your freedom to use your downloads how you please is also crippled. DRM copy protection is great as an anti-piracy technology, but it often punishes consumers that have legally purchased media. Here is a selection of the best software that removes DRM legally (doesn't hack DRM encryption) and produces DRM-free media files that you can enjoy on practically any capable device, including all Android and Windows 8 tablets or smartphones.

P.S. These programs can free you from the DRM restrictions that tie music and movie files, and also help you solve the format incompatibility issues, so you can enjoy DRMed music or movie files on any media player, and not limited to Android-based devices. Besides, the 5+ best DRM removal softwares are picked from dozens of DRM products.

DRM technology has been both a boon and a bane. While manufacturers have rejoiced as it has provedits efficiency as a great anti piracy tool, the everyday users of the internet like you and I have had tosuffer because this hampered with the freedom of us using the downloads in the way that was bestsuited to our needs. It is true that there is a plethora of media players available today and therefore only a DRM removal software that is applicable across all players is one that is a perfect choice.

The conclusion

As we all know, the Mac apps for removing DRM are very rare. How to Transfer/Copy Digital Copy movie to Surface RT?

Got an error message when you tried to copy a Digital Copy movie to your Surface RT? Here you will find an effective way to achieve your goal smoothly.

The Microsoft Surface RT is incredibly flexible in terms of media you can put on the device and users have a whole slew of problems when it comes to watching videos on Surface RT. If you've transferred some Digital Copy movies to your PC, you may want to get them ported over to your Surface RT for playback. However, when you tried to open them with xbox video they would not open and continued to give error messages says "can't play". So what if any Digital Copies work on Microsoft Surface RT?

Basically, film makers use DRM (Digital Right Managemet) to protect their copy-right. This prevent you from watching the movies with an unauthorized media player or portable device. It is a pleasure that the Windows Media Player is one of the authorized media players. However, Microsoft didn't include Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center in Windows RT. This means Digital Copy movies will not even play on Microsoft Surface RT.

Despite lack of offical support, you can view Digital Copy movies on Surface RT. It just takes a few more steps and only comes with some help from third-party software. But it can be done. Below is how:

Note: Before conversion you need first to transfer Digital Copy to computer in Windows Media (.wmv) or iTunes video format (.m4v). If you have no idea about how, check my earlier post "Blu-ray/DVD Digital Copy: Transfer, Play and Backup" to learn details.

Step 1: Download and install ChewTune

When converting protected Digital Copy WMV or M4V files, please make sure you videos play well in Windows Media Player or iTunes (Windows Media Player or iTunes is required for the conversion). Otherwise, the conversion may fail.

Step 2: Click "Add" button to import your Digital Copy movies or just drag and drop the movies to the software. Batch conversion is supported so that you can add multiple files to convert at a time.

Add iTunes movie

Step 3: Click "Format" bar and move mouse to "Windows" column, you can easily find the profile of "Microsoft Surface Windows RT H.264 Video (*.mp4)". The output videos could fit on Surface RT tablet perfectly. If you like, you can click "Settings" to change the video encoder, resolution, frame rate, etc. as you wish.

iTunes to Android format

Step 4: Click the big "Convert" button to begin encoding your Digital Copy to Surface RT playable videos.

Once the encoding task completes, you can transfer the result videos to your SD card for your Surface. There now you know how to get Digital Copy movies onto your Microsoft Surface RT tablet so you can watch them on that gorgeous screen!

This workaround works with Windows 8, Windows 8.1 as well, of course.

Additional Tips:

1. About ChewTune - An easy-to-use yet intuitive and stable DRM converter which can help you strip DRM protection from iTunes, Blu-ray/DVD Digital Copy movies Amazon, Zune, BBC iPlayer, Napster, Blockbuster, etc. and convert videos to all popular video formats like MP4, MOV, MKV, WMV, AVI, FLV, etc. for playing and sharing anywhere you like. The audio/video synchronization is very good and the quality of the converted videos too. It's completely free for protected Audio files.

2. Check out "The Ways Transferring Files to Your Surface" if you have no idea about Surface RT file transfer.

Are you an iPhone 5S person or an iPhone 5C person?

An employee shows the the backside of a new Apple iPhone 5c (R) and iPhone 5s (L) at a Verizon store in Orem, Utah, Sept. 19,

As has become tradition in Apple kremlinology, techies have spent the past week trying to decipher what the "C" and the "S" stand for in Apple's new smartphones, the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.

Guesses both serious and sardonic for the proudly plastic, kaleidoscopic "C" include "cheap," "color" and "Chinese"; common wisdom says the "S" stands for "sensor" or "scanner" or "security."

My editor, however, had a different idea.

"Maybe C and S stand for ‘Class Struggle,'" he joked, after aggregating a list of dozens of Twitter users who had deemed the iPhone 5C "for poor people" after its unveiling.

Maybe Jason is right.

Sure as the iPhone 5 fades into obsolescence, Apple devotees know they're going to need new phones: the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 5C. What's less clear is which one. We could start retabulating the virtues of each one, but why bother? No one really needs help choosing between Apple's "forward-looking" 5S and the "colorful" 5C, both of which go on sale Friday.

Rather, put it this way: If you think you need help deciding — if you just want one more perfect article comparing the specs of the two phones — then you've already secretly decided: You're a 5S type.

Because 5S people love specs. They like to read about the 5S velocity, as speed-demons in earlier days might have shopped for Porsches. They savor the new camera numbers as if they were Diane Arbus, needing levels of pixelation not seen in nature. 5S people pore over and memorize the iPhone spec lists just so they can savor the glories of their pricey new phones in advance, and drop in pixel density and contrast ratio counts during early autumn dinner conversations.

By contrast, 5C types only ever needed one spec: $99.

The 5C crowd are people who till now considered iPhones either out of reach or overly precious. It makes sense that Apple has cast these 5C types as colorful — the multihued not-quite-middle-class identified with Rainbow Coalitions and, internationally, with the United Colors of Benetton.

(Not that the iPhone 5C is really as bargain-bin as some had expected, nor that the $100 discount will really make much of a financial difference over the course of a four-figure two-year contract. But there is no doubt that the iPhone 5C has been painted, fairly or not, as the "cheap" iPhone, of the pair.)

Moreover, 5C types are those of us who are happy with our iPhone 5 and, heck, our 4s or 4 or 3GS, too. We wish we didn't have to upgrade at all. We may even have been casting glances at the Apple off-ramp. So we're not going to get back in with Apple with the spec-manic 5S only to make the jump, months from now, to an HTC One or a Galaxy or to some other heretical artifact that wasn't even designed in California.

We are willing to put up with the infantilizing colors, with plastic phones that look like teething toys, in order not to be the dreaded spec people: pontificating to anyone who will listen about the speed and security of the 5S, conspicuously waving it about on the subway and in meetings, fingerprint-unlocking their devices not because they have anything to do on their phones, but because they enjoy the novelty, and the prestige.

Oh, but this sounds chippy. See what Apple has done? With its two phones, it has created a world where you either have to be a colorful clown — do I amuse you? — with that iPhone 5C, where you have to sign on to the fun of frugality; you can't just have a cheap phone that says, "This is all I can afford," which at least has some dignity to it.

At the same time, with dippy 5C, you renounce your right to be "forward-looking": an early adopter of the faster phone. Instead, you're upgrading — to a backward phone. And through your happy clown smile, you have to pretend you're not missing out! That you couldn't care less about the amazing, eye-popping camera or the hushed Jason Bourne palate of the muted, sophisticated thoroughbred, the iPhone 5S.

But if you get the 5S — well, you're the chick who had to have the best. Because her texts are world-historic and can't be left to slow, insecure phones. Or the gaudy plastic of her tartier 5C sisters.

This is how they divide us, these massive tech companies. How they create the illusion of an identity choice: print or e-book; high-def or standard; pro or free; s or c.

Maybe in this mobile cycle, you could ask yourself what you need more of right now: money or specs. If you're going Apple, let the money/specs question guide you to the 5S (specs) or the 5C (money). And then just be quiet about it. Don't overthink; don't regret; and don't begrudge anyone else his choice.

You may have bought in as a clear, confident act of self-expression, but that conceals the fact that you're just buying — and from the same company, for Pete's sake.
