Google Nexus Wireless Charger powers up Nexus 5, 7, 4 using Qi technology

Google's Nexus Wireless Charger popped up in the Google Play Store Tuesday (Nov. 19) and is available for purchase just before Black Friday 2013 week. The universal charger works with the newly released Nexus 5, Nexus 7 tablet (2013) and the Nexus 4 handset.

Nexus Wireless Charger for Nexus 5, 4, 7

Using Qi wireless technology, the Nexus Wireless Charger lets you charge up your Nexus phone or tablet without having to plug a cord into the device itself. Your Nexus 5, Nexus 7 or Nexus 4 begins charging when it connects to the magnetic face of the charger. The Nexus Wireless Charger connects to a power source using its own USB cord. Simply snap your Nexus device into place on the wireless charger and you're good to go.

The dimensions of the wireless charger face are about 2.5 inches in length, 2.5 inches in width and 0.5 inches in height. The compact size makes the charger small enough to be placed on a surface without being in the way. It also adheres to any surface including desks and counter tops making it less likely to be knocked over or pushed.

The Nexus Wireless Charger offers convenient cordless charging with a sleek design. It features a glossy black finish and the official Nexus logo embedded into the magnetic face. It has a $49.99 price tag at Google Play, orders begin shipping on November 29.
